Job description

The Donor Relations Coordinator will serve as the bridge between Humo and its donors, ensuring that every supporter feels valued, informed, and inspired by the difference they are making. This role combines communication, organization, and relationship-building to create an outstanding donor experience and foster long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day donor communications, including thank-you letters, updates, and personalized outreach.
  • Develop and maintain donor records in our CRM system to track giving history and preferences.
  • Support fundraising campaigns by coordinating donor lists, acknowledgments, and event invitations.
  • Prepare donor impact reports, newsletters, and project updates to showcase transparency and results.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising and communications teams to design strategies that enhance donor retention and engagement.
  • Assist in organizing donor-focused events (both virtual and in-person).
  • Monitor trends and feedback to continuously improve donor experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or customer relationship management preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with donor management software/CRM systems.
  • A genuine passion for humanitarian and development work.
