Dr. Laura Esserman named to the 2016 TIME 100 most influential people in the world

Time magazine has named internationally renowned breast cancer oncologist Laura Esserman, M.D., MBA, to the 2016 TIME 100, the magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. You can read the article on Time's website.

Esserman has been at the forefront of efforts to change the delivery of breast cancer services as well as information systems used to support both research and patient care. She also co-founded Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative.

Esserman is now a professor of Surgery and Radiology at UCSF and a faculty member of the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is also a practicing surgeon and breast cancer oncology specialist at the UCSF Carol Franc Buck Breast Care Center where she has also held the position of director since 1996.
